Rhode Island Comic Con Casts a Spell on Dunder Mifflin, Adds Movie Night With Freddy Krueger, and More!

With just under a month until Rhode Island Comic Con one would think they’d be done with exciting guest announcements, but that just isn’t the case. The folks over at RICC are saving the best for last with their announcements this week.

First up is John Glover, best known as voice of The Riddler in Batman: The Animated Series and as Lionel Luther in the hit TV series Smallville. You can see John on any of the three days of the show!

Dunder Mifflin is coming to Rhode Island! That’s right, did I stutter? You can see Kevin Malone (Brian Baumgartner) and Stanley Hudson (Leslie David Baker) on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Don’t forget to ask Kevin for his famous chili recipe!

Fred and George Weasley are apparating to Rhode Island to join fellow witch Luna Lovegood (Evanna Lynch) over the weekend! Oliver and James Phelps from the Harry Potter series will be there all weekend! Be wary of any sweets they have handy, you never know if it’s from a Skiving Snackbox.

Wednesday Addams is joining the lineup! Christina Ricci will be available on Saturday and Sunday only, just don’t ask her to smile. Ricci is also known for her roles in Casper, Black Snake Moan, and Sleepy Hollow.

River Song is taking the TARDIS to RICC! Alex Kingston is joining fellow Doctor Who companion Catherine Tate for the weekend in Rhode Island!

Ever want to spend Halloween night with Freddy Krueger? Well now you can! Join Robert Englund at Providence Place Cinemas 16 for a Halloween night showing of his first appearance as the thing of our nightmares, A Nightmare on Elm Street. The lines will begin forming at 7 p.m., a special Q&A with Robert himself will begin at 8:30 p.m., and the film will begin at 9:30 p.m. In addition to these events there will also be trivia, games, and a raffle! There are three different ticket tiers, all with their own benefits and perks, including autos to be redeemed at the convention! All info and tickets can be found here.

Rhode Island Comic Con is shaping up to be the show of the season, and tickets are still available! All photo ops and autos are currently available as well. It is being held at the Rhode Island Convention Center and Dunkin’ Donuts Center November 1-3.
