It’s that time again, fellow game nerds. With the pandemic and having to stay home, have you been getting any more game time in? Well, here are the games for the upcoming month and some things that have happened in gaming recently.

During DC FanDome, fans were treated to first looks and gameplay for ­­­­­Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. To coincide with the Wonder Woman 84 film release Xbox has given us a sneak peek at the three consoles they made for the Xbox One X ­­. Not to mention anxiously waiting for the date that the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition will be released. There is so much to look forward to. 

Regardless of the platform you use — PlayStation 4 (PS4), Xbox One (XBO), Nintendo Switch (NS) Computer (PC), etc. — there is a game for you to enjoy playing. Here is a list of some of the video games getting released this month.

September 1

Iron Harvest (PS4, XBO, PC)

It is 1920, and the end of the Great War. All that is left is unexploded artillery, weapons, barbed wire, bullets, and shrapnel. The farmers called it the Iron Harvest. The game is a real-time strategy game where players control the dieselpunk mechs, use tactics, and more to advance cover, destruction, and battle on the field.

Ary and the Secret of Seasons (PC, PS4, XBO, NS)

This game follows Aryelle, a young girl who travels the world of Valdi and becomes the Guardian of Winter. She must use the powers to control seasons to fight her enemies, solve puzzles, and more.

Crusader Kings 3 (PC)

“An Heir is Born.” Players can choose to be from a royal or noble house in several realms as they guide their homes through the centuries. During the game, players can choose a lifestyle, gain character traits, choose guardians for their heirs, and ride to war.

Hitman & Hitman 2 (Stadia)

Following what happened in Hitman, Agent 47, a contract assassin, goes after the Shadow Client. There are six missions in various locations to complete. Players can choose to be Knight or Stone, who come with their skills and weaponry.

MX vs. ATV All Out (NS)

This is the complete off-road racing with all the vehicles and terrains. Players can pick from UTVs, ATVs, and bikes to compete and perform stunts.

September 3

Cook-Out: A Sandwich Tale (PC VR)

As the title states, players will have to cook their way to win this adventure game. Players will also have to collaborate and do what they can to keep the customers happy as the levels increase. 

WRC 9 (PC, PS4, XBO)

The latest edition includes new game modes, co-driver mode, all the drivers and cars from the previous games, and new ones from Kenya, Japan, and New Zealand. If you pre-order now, players will get the Audi Quattro A2 1984 to enjoy the off-road simulation.

September 4

Doraemon Story of Seasons (PS4)

In Natura, Nobita and friends enjoy carefree farm life. There is a mysterious large tree that grows there as well. Players tend to crops, care for the farm animals, go on adventures, and more.

NBA 2K21 (PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, XBO)

Choose your team and go against the top teams of the NBA. There is now a Mamba Forever Edition available to honor LA Lakers #8 Kobe Bryant, who passed away this year. 

Marvel’s Avengers (Marvel’s Avengers game pre-order) (PC, PS4, XBO, Stadia)

Avengers assemble! Players pick their team of Earth’s heroes and use the powers to defend and protect. The game begins at A-Day, “where Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a new, hi-tech headquarters.” When a new enemy comes and destroys it, they are blamed for the outcome. Now, superheroes are outlawed, and Kamala Khan wants to reassemble them to fight against AIM.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 (PC, PS4, XBO)

The collection has been fully-remastered to include fantastic HD. Players can show off their style as Tony Hawk or other skater pros to the soundtrack of songs that define an era. 

September 8

AVICII Invector Encore Edition (NS)

In 2015, the DJ, AVICII, started working with Hello Games to create this game. After his passing, they finished this game with the help of his father and the Tim Bergling Foundation. Players join space pilot Stella and go through and attack each beat in 25 of the musician’s biggest hits. In this edition, it features 35 tracks, including “Peace of Mind,” “Freak,” and “SO.S.”

Star Renegades (PC)

Arriving to warn of impending doom, service robot J5T-1N helps until you send the robot to the next dimension to warn the next group. J5T-1N takes what the player has learned to give to the next group to defeat their adversary.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning (PC, PS4, XBO)

Players can build their characters for battle by adding skills, abilities, and armor to them. During the game, the character will evolve into the style of play. Finish off your enemies with brutal attacks.

OkunoKA Madness (PC, PS4, XBO, NS)

As KA players save the world of souls from his enemy Os. Players will have to go through multiple levels as the blue hero and overcome the obstacles to find hidden secrets and unlock surprises.

September 10

Bounty Battle (PC, PS4, XBO, NS)

There are over 20 characters from indie titles that join with their moves and attacks to the battle. Each player has minions that can be called upon in a fight to help in one of the ten battle arenas. 

MO: Astray (NS)

Who caused this disaster? What sort of trials and tribulations are coming? It all starts when otherworldly beasts invade an advanced facility, but the main computer is still operating. In an abandoned lab, a green ambiguous lifeform MO, it discovers that it has to face the hostile environment and humans taken over by alien parasitic plants. MO can overcome obstacles by listening to the mysterious mutterings in its ear.

September 11

Inertial Drift (PC, PS4, XBO, NS)

“Forget everything you know about drifting.” This game is set in the retro era of the 90s. With the use of twin-stick controls, you have better drifting control than ever. Players have 16 cars to choose from, including Sport hatchbacks, Coupe’s, Supercars, and more to take out over 20 tracks and city streets. 

September 15

BPM: Bullets Per Minute (PC)

Players fight like a mighty Valkyrie that stops the underworld from invading Asgard, going through dungeons while collecting abilities and weapons that you can use to defeat the seven bosses. 

September 17

Pacer (PC, PS4, XBO)

The 2075 PACER world championships are the new highlight of anti-gravity motorsport. Players race in the world’s most dangerous circuits for victory. 

September 18

Crysis Remastered (PC, PS4, XBO)

First released in 2007, the remastered version includes new graphics and more. Armed in influential Nanosuits, players use tactics and skills to survive. 

Earth Defense Force 5 (PS4)

Become a soldier and save Earth from the invading aliens. The tricky part is that the aliens look like humans, from the planet Primer. This battle brings despair as the EDF confronts the aliens with courage and wisdom.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds (PC, PS4, XBO, NS, Stadia)

When you pre-order the game, you can unlock the WWE Hall of Famer Edge! Players can become their favorite WWE Superstars and Legends to battle in match types like Steel Cage, Royal Rumble, etc. 

September 22

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim (PS4)

The world’s fate is in the hands of 13 young adults, as they have to pilot robots called Sentinels.

September 23

Unrailed! (PC, PS4, XBO, NS)

Players work with their friends to build train tracks across different worlds and must keep their train from derailing. Each world is unique and has its challenges to get through.

September 24

Little Big Workshop (XBO)

There is a magical factory in your living room that will make anything the customer wants, from rubber ducks to drones. These products can be made from various materials and sold for cash that you can put back in the factory. 

Tears of Avia (PC, XBO)

The once thriving world of Estera has two cities at war. Players build an army and look for the secrets of the cities and decide where their morals lie. What side will you be on, Tirig the large military land that praises Gods, or Helmgar, the Godless heretics of the north?

September 25

Bullet Age (NS, PC) 

New Haven is a world that has been torn apart by a single Mutagen Bomb that transformed the creatures into mutated monsters. Players join the Gunsword heroes and battle the creatures as the last hope.

Port Royale 4 (PS4, XBO, PC)

It is time to sail and join the colonial powers of Spain, England, France, and the Netherlands to fight for the Caribbean in the 17th century. Players are a young, naive governor that wants to manage and grow their settlement.

DreamWorks Trollhunters Defenders of Arcadia (PC, PS4, XBO, NS)

Become Jim Lake Jr. and team up with Claire to try to stop the Trickster Troll called Porgon. 

Mafia: Definitive Edition (PC, PS4, XBO, Stadia)

Cabdriver Tommy Angelo gets thrown into the world of organized crime after a brush with the mob. Now involved with the Salieri family, Tommy has a hard time ignoring the rewards that come with it.

September 29

Umihara Kawase BaZooKa! (PS4, NS)

Players must clear the screen of enemies by using their Bazooka and extraordinary fishing rod. There are 22 iconic characters to choose from and 40 stages. 

The Walking Dead: Onslaught (PC VR, PSVR)

Go against your fears and defend yourself with real-motion and ranged combat while confronting humanity’s horrors and the apocalypse.

September 30

Baldur’s Gate 3 (PC, Stadia)

It is time to go back to the Forgotten Realms in the continued tale of friends, betrayal, sacrifice, and survival while looking for absolute power.
