‘Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children’ Director’s Cut Returning to Theaters

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete is heading to US theaters for the first time ahead of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth‘s release.

Tickets are now on sale for the two-day event at 650 theaters nationwide. The English dubbed version will play on Wednesday, February 21 and the subtitled on Thursday, February 22.

This is the debut of the director’s cut to theater in the US, and fans planning to arrive early will be treated to extra content around Final Fantasy VII‘s long, celebrated history. A gameplay preview of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and interviews with Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children director and Final Fantasy VII Remake creative director Tetsuya Nomura, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth director Naoki Hamaguchi and producer Yoshinori Kitase will also be shown.

Two years have passed since Midgar fell to ruin, standing as a testament to the sacrifices made in order to bring peace. However, the world will soon face a new menace: a mysterious illness is spreading fast. Old enemies are astir and Cloud Strife, who walked away from the life of a hero to live in solitude, must step forward yet again.

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete features 26 minutes of additional content and over a thousand revised scenes and visuals.

The clock is ticking closer to the release of the Game Awards’ Most Anticipated 2024 Release winner Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. The game will release exclusively on PlayStation 5 on February 29, 2024.
