Today is June 2nd, and after a one-day delay from the original film start date, today marks the official beginning of filming for one of the most highly-awaited upcoming series of the year, Percy Jackson and the Olympians!

Percy Jackson and the Olympians will follow the events of Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, the first book in Rick Riordan’s book series on which the show is based. Walker Scobell will be starring in the leading role as the one and only Percy Jackson alongside fellow big three castmates, Leah Sava Jeffries and Aryan Simhadri as Annabeth Chase and Grover Underwood, respectively. Other roles such as Luke Castellan, Sally Jackson, and more are currently still being kept under wraps.

While the show is still a long way off from being viewer-ready, we’re ecstatic that this big step in production has finally begun! As always, stay tuned for more updates.
