‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’: Rick Riordan Reveals Filming Start Date

News, news, some ever-awaited news! In his most recent blog post, Rick Riordan revealed that set design and production in Vancouver has officially begun on Disney+’s live-action adaptation of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Even more exciting, the date the series is set to start filming has also been released! If all goes according to plan, June 1, 2022 should mark the first day of filming for Percy Jackson and the Olympians!

In addition to continuing to search for the “big 3” who will play Percy, Annabeth, and Grover (the team has been conducting chemistry reads according to Riordan), location scouting is currently taking place for the series. Multiple aspects of the show’s production are starting to get put into motion, including costume design and more.

While the show is still a while off from being viewer-ready, we’re so excited to see what the following months bring as the ball continues to roll on Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
