‘Fresh’ Starring Sebastian Stan & Daisy Edgar-Jones Coming to Hulu
For those unable to catch the world premiere of the social thriller Fresh at Sundance Film Festival this month, the film has been acquired by Searchlight Pictures and will be heading to Hulu on March 4!
Fresh stars Marvel’s Sebastian Stan as Steve and Normal People‘s Daisy Edgar-Jones as Noa. The synopsis, as per Sundance:
“Frustrated by scrolling dating apps only to end up on lame, tedious dates, Noa takes a chance by giving her number to the awkwardly charming Steve after a produce-section meet-cute at the grocery store. During a subsequent date at a local bar, sassy banter gives way to a chemistry-laden hookup, and a smitten Noa dares to hope that she might have actually found a real connection with the dashing cosmetic surgeon. She accepts Steve’s invitation to an impromptu weekend getaway, only to find that her new paramour has been hiding some unusual appetites.”
Fresh marks Mimi Cave’s feature directorial debut, with a script from Lauryn Kahn. The film is described as “an intoxicating ride, nesting a penetrating thriller about the perils women face on the modern dating scene within a ferocious allegory for the commodification of their bodies.”
Additional cast members include Jojo T. Gibbs, Charlotte Le Bon, Andrea Bang, and Dayo Okeniyi.
For those outside of the US, Fresh will be made available on Star+ in Latin America and Disney+ in other territories later this spring.
