‘Under the Banner of Heaven’ Nominated for Two Golden Globes

Today, the nominees for the 80th annual Golden Globe Awards were announced, recognizing achievements across film and television as chosen by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

The critically acclaimed limited series Under the Banner of Heaven earned nominations for two of its leads, with Andrew Garfield nominated for Best Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology Series, or Television Motion Picture and Daisy Edgar-Jones nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series, Anthology Series, or Television Motion Picture.

Under the Banner of Heaven follows the true story of the infamous Lafferty murders through the eyes of victim Brenda Lafferty (Edgar-Jones) and Jeb Prior (Garfield), the devout Mormon detective investigating while experiencing a crisis of faith. Both actors received widespread acclaim for their nuanced and thoughtful performances, with Garfield also honored with a Critics Choice Award nomination.

The Golden Globe Awards will air live from Beverly Hills, California on NBC and Peacock on January 10, 2023. Check out all of this year’s nominees here. Under the Banner of Heaven is available to watch on Hulu.
