‘Under the Banner of Heaven’ Nabs Two Critics Choice Award Nominations

The Critics Choice Association has announced the television category nominees for the upcoming 28th Annual Critics Choice Awards! The acclaimed series Under the Banner of Heaven scored two nominations.

  • Best Limited Series
  • Best Actor in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television (Andrew Garfield)

Under the Banner of Heaven covers the true story of the infamous Lafferty murders through the eyes of victim Brenda Lafferty (Daisy Edgar-Jones) and Jeb Prior (Andrew Garfield), the devout Mormon detective investigating while experiencing a crisis of faith. Along the way, the series delves deep into the origins of the Mormon faith and how it may have influenced the shocking crime. Both Edgar-Jones and Garfield have earned rave reviews for their performances alongside the star-studded ensemble.

Winners will be revealed live during the gala at the Fairmount Century Plaza in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 15, 2023 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET (PT will be delayed).
