Jennifer Akerman, also known as Final Child, continues to show her amazing musical range with her latest music video of an acoustic rendition of her most recent single “When You’re Not Around.” The song originally carried a hypnotic, urban sound but this new unplugged version lends even heavier weight the beautiful lyrics inspired by Akerman’s own emotions. The black and white video features guitarist Pelle Hillstrom along with Akerman.

Akerman has yet to announce a release date for her upcoming album, Monster but has shared the 12 song track list which is full of intriguingly named songs I can’t wait to hear. We’ve already been graced with two other songs from Monster, “Dead Romance” and “Monster,” which both carry the kind of dark and sexy song will be stuck in your head for days at a time.
