Final Child Releases Latest Single “South of the Border” and Music Video With Surprise Ending
Jennifer Akerman, also known as Final Child, has been building the anticipation for her latest single and music video release, “South of the Border,” and the day has finally come! Released this morning, the song and video both perfectly encapsulate the same dark, dance vibe we’ve come to expect from the soon to be released new album, Monster.
The video features Akerman’s husband Tom Payne as “The Priest” who attempts to give a sermon though he’s decidedly distracted by his thoughts of Akerman who sings the intoxicating song “South of the Border.” In the end, she convinces him to run away with her and the video includes a very sweet reveal. Akerman and Payne are expecting their first child, a baby boy, and this video is dedicated to him! Congratulations to the couple!
Akerman has yet to announce when the album will be released, but we’ll happily continue to wait for what is sure to be a killer album. The tracklist for Monster was released earlier this year:
