It’s been a year since Animal Crossing: New Horizons released and saved us from quarantine blues, and in honor of the first anniversary Nintendo is launching some highly requested updates to the game!
First and foremost, Tom Nook will be sending you a delightful first anniversary cake to your mailbox after you install the update.
The Sanrio amiibos are almost here! The amiibo pack will be available to purchase on March 26 at Target in the United States (for international players please see the article linked above) for $5.99. The six new villager additions also come with exclusive Sanrio furniture and clothing items and they can be invited for a photoshoot at Harv’s.
Ah yes, what players have been waiting for — more custom design slots! The Custom Pro Editor+ will be available at your Nook Stop in Resident Services and it allows the customization of umbrellas, small flags, uchiwa, and photo stands along with opening up 50 more slots to both Normal Custom Design mode and Pro Custom Design mode. No more sacrificing paths for stall designs!
Also coming is an app for the Custom Design Portal found in the Able Sisters store. You’ll be able to access it right from your NookPhone!
Bunny Day is also returning on March 28 running through April 4. The various Easter eggs found in trees, water, balloons, rocks, and dig spots will be back, but this year for a shorter period. Zipper T. Bunny will be back hopping across your island, but this year instead of recipes there will be some exclusive items for sale in your Nook’s Cranny!
