Brec Bassinger, the nineteen-year-old actress from School of Rock and Bella and The Bulldogs, has officially been cast as Courtney Whitmore, aka Stargirl. In this new series, Courtney finds out her father used to be a superhero’s sidekick and decides to follow in his footsteps, using a magic staff that gives her superhuman abilities.
