Today, four new additions were announced for the cast.
The series’ description reads:
“Based on the novel by Matthew Quirk, The Night Agent follows Peter Sutherland (Basso), a low-level FBI agent who works in the basement of the White House, manning a phone that never rings — until the night that it does, propelling him into a fast-moving and dangerous conspiracy that ultimately leads all the way to the Oval Office. “
Joining the cast as regulars in season 2 are Michael Malarkey as Markus, a trained military leader loyal to his dictator uncle who was recently convicted in the Hague of war crimes, and Keon Alexander as Javad, the head of security for the Iranian mission to the United Nations who is responsible for not only protecting the mission employees, but also ensuring they stay loyal to the regime.
Recurring guest stars joining the cast are Navid Negahban as Abbas, the distinguished and measured Iranian ambassador to the UN who is accustomed to giving orders, and expects loyalty and respect, and Rob Heaps as Tomas, a British-educated, rich, entitled but driven man who is desperate to return his family to power after his dictator father’s conviction for war crimes.
