‘Star Wars: Ahsoka’: Natasha Liu Bordizzo Cast as Sabine Wren for Disney+ Series

The Star Wars: Ahsoka series has added another Mandalorian to the mix: Star Wars Rebels’ Sabine Wren. Natasha Liu Bordizzo (The Society) will bring the animated character to life, marking Sabine’s live-action debut.

Debuting in Star Wars Rebels, Sabine is an art-loving weapons expert from Clan Wren. During Rebels, Sabine comes into possession of the Darksaber before ultimately relinquishing the blade to Bo-Katan Kryze. Kryze, as Star Wars fans will note, somehow lost the Darksaber to Moff Gideon prior to the events in Disney+’s hit series The Mandalorian. We last saw Sabine looking for Ezra Bridger and Grand Admiral Thrawn alongside Ahsoka Tano in the series finale of Rebels following their disappearance. Ahsoka made it clear in Season 2 of The Mandalorian that she is still searching for the pair. Ahsoka is brought to live-action by Rosario Dawson.

This news follows the confirmation that Hayden Christensen will reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker for the Ahsoka series in October. While plot details are still unknown for the series, it will take place during the same timeline as The Mandalorian and with the growing cast list, there appears to be plenty of Rebels reunions in store.

Star Wars: Ahsoka has yet to receive a release date but will air exclusively on Disney+.
