Filming for Luca Guadagnino’s first U.S. project, Bones and All, is currently underway in Ohio, and the first official image from the film is here!

Released via Deadline, the photo shows Maren Yearly (Russell) and Lee (Chalamet), a couple that first meet when Maren is searching for her father.

Maren is desperate to uncover and understand why she possesses the urge to kill and eat those she has a connection with. Together, they trek a thousand miles only for the roads to lead them back to their pasts. This will determine whether their love can withstand their skeletons. After all, everybody’s got them, right?

Bones and All also stars Mark Rylance, André Holland, Chloë Sevigny, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Francesca Scorsese.

The film reunites director Guadagnino and Chalamet who worked together on 2017’s Call Me By Your Name. Bones and All is adapted by David Kajganich from Camille DeAngelis’ novel of the aforementioned name.

Chalamet’s next projects include Dune, releasing this October, as well as Wes Anderson’s The French Dispatch and Don’t Look Up. He will also star as Willy Wonka for the upcoming Warner Bros. Film. Russell’s recent work includes Dr. Bird’s Advice for Sad Poets and Words on Bathroom Walls.

Bones and All will release in 2022. Stay tuned for updates.
