Timothée Chalamet Cast as Willy Wonka for Upcoming Warner Bros. Film

Warner Bros. and the Roald Dahl Story Co. have officially cast their Willy Wonka. Rumors of Timothée Chalamet’s involvement began swirling a few months back, but according to Deadline, the news has been confirmed.

At this point, there are several adaptions of Dahl’s ever-popular Wonka characters, but this one will act as a prequel that focuses on a different stage of Wonka’s life — his younger years before he became the owner of the most popular chocolate factory.

Chalamet can be seen next in Dune this October, as well as Wes Anderson’s The French Dispatch and Don’t Look Up.
