Riding on the epic success of the Disney+ live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian, two more shows were announced today during the Disney Investor Day 2020 presentation.

First up is an original live-action series entitled Rangers of the New Republic. Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni are executive producers on the project. As per Lucasfilm, it “will intersect with future stories and culminate into a climactic story event.”

Next, those who were excited that the beloved Ahsoka Tano finally made her live-action debut are in luck, because the original series Ahsoka is on its way! Ahsoka will star Rosario Dawson, who will reprise her role as the character after her appearance in season 2 of The Mandalorian. Filoni will be writing the series, and will also serve as an executive producer alongside Favreau.

Both shows will be set within the timeline of The Mandalorian.

This news arrives in tandem with a barrage of incredible announcements about all of the Star Wars content that Lucasfilm and Disney are currently working on. Stay tuned for more!
