Disney to Celebrate ‘The Lion King’ 30th Anniversary with Live-to-Film Concert Event at the Hollywood Bowl

Disney is set to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the beloved animated film, The Lion King, at the Hollywood Bowl with a live-to-film Concert event on Friday, May 24, and Saturday, May 25.

The event will feature Hans Zimmer’s Oscar®-winning Score Performed by a Live Orchestra, Showstopping Vocal Performances of Sir Elton John and Sir Tim Rice’s Award-winning Songs from the Film, Original Cast Appearances from the 1994 and 2019 Films including Billy Eichner, Jason Weaver, Jeremy Irons, Nathan Lane and Special Guest Jennifer Hudson and more that is slated to be announced.

The event will also celebrate the hit Broadway musical production of The Lion King.

Tickets go on sale Friday, April 19th at 10 a.m. PT at Ticketmaster.com. American Express® Card Members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Tuesday, April 16th at 10 a.m. PT through Thursday, April 18th at 10 p.m. PT.

Disney’s The Lion King 30th Anniversary – A Live to Film Concert Event will be produced by Disney Concerts, AMP Worldwide, Fulwell 73 Productions and Live Nation-Hewitt Silva. Gabe Turner and Sally Wood are Fulwell 73’s creative showrunners, and Misty Buckley is production designer.
