Michelle Gomez (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) is set to star in a thriller series on HBO Max. The Flight Attendant, based on the novel by New York Times best-selling author Chris Bohjalian, follows Cassandra “Cassie” Bowden (Kaley Cuoco) who wakes in her hotel room in Dubai, hungover. This hangover proves to be a deadly one when Cassie finds a dead body lying next to her. After being questioned by the FBI and is unable to piece the night together, she starts to wonder if she could possibly be the killer.
Gomez plays Miranda, a businesswoman that Cassie crosses paths with in Bangkok. Sonoya Mizuno was originally cast in the role, but according to Deadline, the storyline had been reworked and the character took on a different creative direction.
The series previously began filming before the shut down took place, however, production is considering a return later this month.
