Last week, we left Clone Force 99 in a perilous situation with Crosshair on their tail and Omega captured by bounty hunter Cad Bane. You can read the full recap here.
Warning: spoilers for “Bounty Lost” below!
Lucasfilm/Disney
The episode starts with Crosshair pursuing the team on his ship. The clone looks heavily burned. He is successful in hitting the ship and Tech says they need to jump into hyperspace. At first, Hunter refuses to leave without Omega. He finally accepts after Echo made him realize that the bounty hunter is long gone.
On Cad Bane’s ship, Omega is sleeping handcuffed in a cell. She wakes up and examines her cell. She asks Todo 360 to release which he refuses. He informs her that her comm device has been confiscated. She tries to convince her to set her free without success. Todo advises her to be more cooperative because Bane doesn’t like difficult prisoners. Cad Bane arrives and introduces himself to Omega who informs him that he will be sorry when her friends arrive. He answers that he made sure nobody will come to help her and leave her in the cell.
In the cockpit, Bane contacts his employer Lama Su and asks for a bonus since he is bringing the girl alive. Nala Se volunteers herself to deliver the payment and retrieve Omega, but Lama Su refuses because he thinks her feelings compromise the mission and chooses Taun We instead. The Kaminoan will have to meet Bane on Bora Vio in their abandoned facility. He tells Nala Se to, once they have the girl, retrieve her genetic material and kill her which shocks her.
Back on Bane’s ship, Todo is complaining because Hunter shot his leg. Omega answers that he was trying to help because that’s what friends do. Todo is trying to repair himself and Omega, seeing an opportunity to get free, proposes to help. The droid refuses by saying he can do it himself and that she can’t be trusted.
On the Havoc Marauder, Echo identifies the bounty hunter as Cad Bane and talks about his past. Wrecker asks why Fennec Shand and now Bane are after the kid. Tech explains why, after analyzing Omega’s genetic profile, she is very valuable. She has pure first-generation DNA. Wrecker wants to what it means and Tech explains that all clones came from Jango Fett, but their genetic structure was modified to make them perfect soldiers. Omega is a pure replication of Fett. The only other clone like her is Boba who disappeared at the start of the war, leaving Omega as the only living source of Fett’s raw DNA. Echo realizes the Kaminoans must have put a bounty on her. Hunter asks Tech to contact Cid and see if she knows anything about Bane.
Meanwhile, Omega is trying to guide Todo’s repairs. He finally accepts her help but says to do it quickly and to keep it a secret. He releases her and she gets to work. They talk about the relationship between Todo and Bance. He sees himself as the bounty hunter’s trusted confidant which surprises Omega. She fixes the leg and Todo turns his back to her because she needs to fix the calibration in his neck. Then, she neutralizes the droid and starts looking for her comm device.
Bane jumps out of hyperspace and asks Todo to join him in the cockpit to help. Omega can’t find her comm device while Bane lands the ship on a station. Bane realizes something is not right with Todo who is still not answering his calls and goes to investigate. Omega is starting to panic and opens random closets. She finally finds her comm right when Bane discovers Todo’s body. He reactivates the droid and asks him where the young girl is. Todo is surprised to see she is not there. Cut to Omega running from the ship and trying to contact her friends.
Echo talked to Cid, but she has no idea about how to find the bounty hunter. Then, the clones hear Omega trying to contact them. Echo realizes it’s a long range signal and tries to boost it. Omega, running in the station, finally makes contact with Hunter. She asks him to come and get her, but doesn’t know where she is.
Echo can’t establish a connection trace because the signal is too weak. Tech asks the young girl to create a power surge to help them localize her. Omega finds a panel and activates it which opens a room. Tech starts to explain what she has to do, but it’s too late. Bane found her. He handcuffs her and she begs Hunter to come help her until Bane destroys her comm device.
Lucasfilm/Disney
Back on the ship, Todo contacts Bane to inform him that another ship is approaching. On the station, Bane and Omega hear a noise. Omega thinks her friends have come to save her. They find the body of Taun We. Fennec Shand appears with Bane’s payment in her hand. The two bounty hunters taunt each other until they agree on a trade: Shand will give the money to Bane and Omega will leave with her. Todo grabs the case with the credits and Bane and Shand start to shoot at each other. The case with the credits is hit and all the credits are lost. Omega uses the distraction to run away. Bane orders Todo to find her. Fennec Shand sets up an explosive and neutralizes Bane.
While trying to find a place to hide, Omega stumbles in a room full of cloning pods and is frightened by the bodies inside them. She examines the room and powers up a console which she uses to amplify a signal to help her friends localize her. Echo is able to identify the signal as coming from the Lido system and the clones start making their way to Omega.
Todo finds Bane still unconscious and promises him that he will find the target. Shand finds Omega and tells her the clones won’t arrive in time to save her. The girl wants to know why she killed Taun We. Shand answers that she should be grateful because the Prime Minister has worse intentions towards her than Shand. Omega asks why and Shand tells her she knows already. Omega looks at the pods horrified. Shand says she only wants to help her, but Omega doesn’t believe her.
Todo arrives and Shand hits him. Omega releases a cloning pod which falls on the bounty hunter. Omega, still handcuffed, is running again until she sees flight pods and has an idea. Bane intercepts her, but Shand kicks his gun away and fights him again. He seems to have the upper hand, but soon Shand attacks him again. The girl makes her way to the flight pods only to be interrupted by Todo. She jumps on him and directs him to crash on the landing area. She reaches a flight pod and is able to make it fly.
Meanwhile, the fight between Shand and Bane is still going on. Bane hits Shand in the head and seemingly incapacitates her. Todo informs him that Omega is flying away. Shand is back on her feet again. Bane menaces her with a flamethrower, but she hits him with enough force to throw him overboard. Thankfully, Bane has his rocket boots and doesn’t fall to his death.
Lucasfilm/Disney
In the flight pod, Omega is facing technical difficulties and the pod loses altitude. The fall of the pod is stopped by a ship catching it. Omega is afraid of capture again but is soon reassured when she hears Wrecker’s voice. Hunter asks her if she is alright. Omega is crying and asks why the Kaminoans are after her. Hunter reveals to her that she is different from the other clones.
Bane is back on his ship and trying to follow the clones, but his ship is not working. It seems like Shand sabotaged it before leaving the station. On her ship, Shand comes in contact with her employer Nala Se who requires an update. She tells her Omega was rescued by the clones, that she can track them with extra costs. The Kaminoan is relieved Omega is safe from Lama Su and pays Shand.
Omega makes her way to Hunter in the cockpit and they start to talk. Omega can’t stop thinking about the Kaminoans. She doesn’t want to be an experiment and Hunter promises her it won’t happen, that they will protect her and that she will never be back on Kamino.
Even if Omega and the rest of the team were not separated for long, it’s good to see them reunited. Omega seems safe for now, but still wanted by Lama Su. The episode answered a few questions. We learned who was the employer of Fennec Shand and why the Kaminoans want Omega back. She is, with Boba Fett, the closest genetically to Jango Fett. Is The Bad Batch teasing the return of Boba in a future episode? And if it happens, how the young bounty hunter will react to the existence of Omega?
A new episode of The Bad Batch will be available on July 2 on Disney+. Stay tuned for more recaps on Nerds and Beyond!

Welcome to the 26th article of our 2021 Pride Month Series! Each day in the month of June, we will be highlighting a different member of the LGBTQ+ community who we think is a great example of representation and dynamic characterization. We will focus on fictional characters, celebrities, and activists alike — the positive voices within the LGBTQ+ community and in mainstream media.
After 10 years in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the new series Loki has taken the character of Loki to new levels. One of those levels: confirming his LGBTQ status as both gender-fluid and bisexual in the cinematic world.
From the moment I joined @LokiOfficial it was very important to me, and my goal, to acknowledge Loki was bisexual. It is a part of who he is and who I am too. I know this is a small step but I’m happy, and heart is so full, to say that this is now Canon in #mcu#Loki 💗💜💙 pic.twitter.com/lz3KJbewx8
In the comics, Loki has been confirmed gender-fluid and bisexual for quite some time, but episode 3 of Loki on Disney+, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has finally brought this aspect of the character to life. This declaration makes Loki the first openly LGBTQIA+ character in the MCU (no, we do not count that Endgame cameo). Additionally, not only did they confirm the Loki we know as gender-fluid and bisexual, but his Variant form who goes by Sylvie also confirmed that this iteration of the character travels across Multiverses.
Gender-Fluid
Marvel
Loki’s gender-fluidity was confirmed first on the pages of the comics in Thor: Vol. 3 #5. After the events of Ragnarok, Loki is reborn into a body intended for Lady Sif. For years Loki went about his mischievous ways in the form of Lady Loki, including an attempt at taking down the Avengers. However, Loki does eventually find his way back into his old form.
From there, his shifting between genders becomes much more fluid in the hands of writer Al Ewing. In his series’ for the character, Ewing makes Loki’s gender-fluidity much more natural. Lady Loki most notably makes appearances in Loki: Agent of Asgard and Original Sin – Thor and Loki: The Tenth Realm.
Marvel
When using her female identity she also uses all forms of female pronouns, including Goddess. Consequently, Odin himself refers to Loki as his “child who is both” twice, once in Loki: Agent of Asgard #11 and again in Original Sin – Thor and Loki: The Tenth Realm #5.5.
Bisexuality
Marvel
Loki’s bisexuality has also been lightly explored in the comics. First, in Young Avengers: Volume 2. In conversation with Prodigy, after his own declaration of his bisexuality, Loki reveals that Asgard doesn’t regard sexuality the same as humans do. While he never is seen in a romantic relationship with a man, it’s also alluded to that the God of Mischief enjoys reading and writing slash fiction.
Marvel
The Loki series has been the most cemented Loki himself has confirmed his sexuality, confirming that his past involved “a bit of both” when asked by Sylvie if there were any would-be princes or princesses.
Marvel Cinematic Universe Representation
Bringing an openly bisexual hero (yes, he’s a hero) to the screens was long overdue for Marvel, but it is fitting for Loki to be the first introduced. The mythology surrounding the character, along with his colorful comic history, makes Loki an irrefutable character to confirm to naysayers. And while Loki may be the first, with some characters we’ve seen or know are coming, he shouldn’t be the last.
Billy Kaplan a.k.a. Wiccan is coming, well, he’s already here. And with Billy should come Teddy Altman a.k.a Hulkling, his husband on the pages of Young Avengers comics. Also joining the lineup is another queer Young Avenger, America Chavez, who will make her debut in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Billy’s brother Speed, Tommy Shepherd, is also canonically bisexual. Both Billy and Tommy were introduced in WandaVision.
Marvel finally confirming a main character as queer was met mostly with high praise and relief from fans. It took over 10 years, but hopefully this is only the first of many future LGBTQIA+ characters hitting the screens to save the world and beyond. Along with that, we can only hope that the end of the Loki series won’t be the last time we see Loki or Sylvie on our screens, either.

Prodigies, welcome back to the second installment of Nerds Rewatch Prodigal! If you’re not familiar with this series, every Tuesday night at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT, we’ll be pressing play on Twitter to rewatch and live-tweet an episode of Prodigal Son. Last week, we put our rewatch goggles on for episode 4 of season 2, “Take Your Father to Work Day.” This week, we delved into the events of the season’s fifth episode, “Bad Manners,” with a new perspective now that we know what events unfold in order to point out some of its most striking moments and features. Without further ado, let’s jump into what we noticed in episode 5!
Maybe Edrisa and Caffeine Shouldn’t Mix
Phil Caruso/FOX
While Edrisa is always one of our favorites, this episode offers a particularly fun glimpse at Edrisa as she opts for extra caffeine instead of sleep to get through a backlog of bodies. From her first moment onscreen in this episode it is clear that something is not quite right with Edrisa and when she explains that she’s been drinking her own macchiato and a nonalcoholic Four Loko concoction to help battle the sleep deprivation. Then later when the coffee no longer works she switches to straight Four Loko which makes her excessively jittery throughout the autopsy update with Gil and Malcolm. The best Edrisa moment of this episode comes when she drops in on Malcolm as he is working on the case and actually ends up helping him solve the case. However, she spends the whole time she’s helping Malcolm sitting on the table scooting around, fidgeting, and playing with her pencil – it’s like watching a toddler trying to sit still. She is so energetic normally, but the caffeine just pushes her to a whole new level and really brings out her personality in a way that makes her even more loveable than ever.
Ainsley Gets Competitive
Phil Caruso/FOX
This episode gave us a deeper glimpse into Ainsley’s psyche and we can’t say we’re sure we like what we saw. The opening flashback to an over-competitive game of hide and seek could be chalked up to a child not knowing when enough is enough. However, that gets coupled with Ainsley’s single-minded ruthless drive to solve a murder before the NYPD. Yes she’s a reporter, but catching killers is definitely not in her job description. We did get some interesting sibling moments between Ainsley and Malcolm where it seems Malcolm is really starting to analyze Ainsley for her choices. Not only does she think she can catch the killer, but Ainsley also makes a calculating decision to film a dead body at a crime scene. It’s enough to get Gil and Jessica on their guard as well and I have to say I agree that this is yet another step too far for her. Every choice she makes in this episode gave us a look inside her mind and what we see is a little unsettling.
The Whitly Parents Are a Team?
Phil Caruso/FOX
This episode saw something very unique — Jessica willingly going to visit Martin to ask for help. We know the Whitly’s aren’t exactly on top of the whole co-parenting thing, and Jessica would typically rather do absolutely anything but see Martin, but with the news about Ainsley taking after her father in the stabby life choices area, the Whitly parents actually have a common interest: keeping the secret. Granted, Jessica is more focused on the “I can’t have another serial killer in the family and I don’t want her to go to prison” aspect, while Martin is just proud of them for following in his footsteps and getting away with it. However, no matter how much their individual reasoning for wanting the secret kept or how much Martin antagonizes Jessica they are at least in the same book — if not exactly on the same page — for the first time since we met them.
Sarah Windsor’s Explosive Ending
Phil Caruso/FOX
As head of the Windsor School of Etiquette, Sarah Windsor was obviously a lady concerned with appearances. Though this was an apparent facet of her personality, it was still a shock when she met her end at her own hand after she realized Malcolm had figured out her secret. Rachel, her assistant, was actually her daughter. Not only that, but Rachel was the perpetrator of the debutantes’ murders. Rachel was Sarah’s dirty little secret. Ms. Windsor always valued the debutantes over her even though they betrayed the values of the school, something which caused Rachel to direct her anger towards them for rejecting the love that she desperately craved her whole life. In order to try and keep this scandalous news from spreading, Sarah blows up the school in a fiery blaze of glory. Though the moment was tragic, the camerawork in the scene is something to truly be admired.
The Gilica Ice Starts to Thaw
Phil Caruso/FOX
Gil and Jessica have definitely had their ups and downs this season, but this episode offers a special moment between the two. As we know, Jessica goes to visit Martin to talk about the Ainsley issue and it goes about as well as can be expected. However, when Gil finds out he tells Jessica, “Look, you don’t need to talk to Martin. I’m here. Whatever you need I’m here,” and it is about the sweetest thing you’ll ever see. Especially given the fact that this statement leaves Jessica speechless. Unfortunately, the moment is cut short as JT tells Gil that they need to go follow a lead; however, before he leaves Gil asks about Ainsley only to be informed that Ainsley is already gone. This leads to what may be Gil’s best quippy Jessica related moment, as Jessica says, “I’m too late”, and Gil responds, “I don’t know. You were right on time for me” then smirks at her and walks away. It is simply a short but brilliant glimpse at just how much Gil cares about Jessica, and it’s the first glimmer of hope that maybe the ice around Gilica may be thawing.

Comedy/drama Good Girls, which centers on three best friends in desperate circumstances who create their own criminal enterprise, has been canceled. The remaining five episodes of the series’ fourth and final season will continue to air on NBC.
Good Girls was the last of four NBC series whose futures were not immediately clear when the broadcaster announced its 2021-2022 programming lineup, joining Manifest, Debris, and Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist — all of which were canceled. There were efforts made to move the series to Netflix, but those efforts did not pan out because of financial reasons.
Good Girls stars Retta (Parks and Recreation), Christina Hendricks (Mad Men), and Mae Whitman (The Owl House) as Ruby, Beth, and Annie, respectively. When Ruby is faced with a significant financial and personal challenge, the best friends band together to help her out by establishing their own criminal operation that grows and expands very quickly — oftentimes outside of their control.

If you missed last week’s recap, check it out here!
Dembe opens the hatch to The Nest as Reddington carries an injured Liz out of the hatch. Dembe fingerprints one of the men lying dead, and it’s Townsend. Liz suggests they leave before others arrive, and Red asks if she can walk.
On Red’s jet, a member of the medical team comes to inform Reddington and Dembe that the bullet Keen was struck with went straight through, and Red thanks him. Dembe tells Red that he won against Townsend, but Reddington tells Dembe they need to see Harold and they need to call Dr. Clemons to say that his services are no longer necessary. Red knows that another fight is on the horizon, but it can’t be won unless he’s gone.
Back in D.C., Liz is recovering, and Dembe tells her that he understands why she blames Red for how her life turned out, but everything happens for a reason. Suddenly, Reddington comes into the room with Agnes, who runs into the room and jumps into Liz’s arms.
Reddington and Dembe arrive at the Post Office to find Aram holding “Get Well” balloons for Ressler, and his voice is high because he’s inhaled helium. Aram says that the team heard about Townsend, and offers Dembe and Reddington a chance to inhale helium. Reddington and Dembe walk into Cooper’s office and Cooper tells them that he’s glad the threat against Keen is gone, but Reddington and Dembe both hilariously speak in high-pitched voices. Reddington tells Cooper that due to the opening in Townsend’s empire, there’s a slew of new criminals who will be vying for the throne. Reddington gives a list of possible contenders to Cooper, and he wants someone else to take advantage of the situation. Reddington mentions “the end,” and Cooper asks how sick he really is, but Red changes the subject to ask if Cooper will care for Elizabeth once he’s gone, to which Cooper agrees. As they leave, Dembe asks if this is all necessary, but Red says it’s the only way he can ensure Liz’s protection.
Will Hart/NBC
Back in Liz’s hotel room, Red tells Liz that he’s aware she wants to know about who he is and why he came into her life. He tells her that Liz’s mother foresaw this moment and conversation, and he pulls out an envelope. He tells her the answers are in the envelope and when the time is right, he will give it to her, but on one condition — he wants her to end his life. He continues that she’s known he’s been sick, and before he dies, he needs to ensure her protection. She’s confused how killing him would fulfill this, but he adds that she would be a force to be reckoned with, able to do what no one else could — kill Raymond Reddington. She reminds him that she doesn’t want to take over his empire, and he tells her that under other circumstances, he wouldn’t want her to. Now that Neville has learned things about him and shared those secrets, he’s afraid more people will come after her. He looks at the envelope and says that, “It’s quite a story. Full of ambition and hope. Love and loss.” Liz asks how it ends, and he tells her she’ll find out. At the park while watching Agnes, Liz talks to Mrs. French about her train ticket, closing up her apartment in New York, and using her jet to fly to Europe.
Cooper is walking down the street as Liz pulls up beside him, instructing him to get in. She pulls into what looks like a parking garage and asks if Cooper has spoken to Reddington. He tells her that he knew Red was sick, but didn’t know how severe it was. Liz tells Cooper that Reddington wants her to take over his empire, but she declined his offer and wanted to tell Cooper “goodbye” and “thank you.” He expresses that he wants Liz to be safe, and suggests if she took over for Reddington, he may be able to convince Panabaker to give her immunity, while still working with Cooper and the team. Liz changes the subject to ask about Ressler, and he says that Ressler’s better but worried about her. She says she wants to see him.
Liz is at the hospital to visit Ressler, and she borrows a uniform from the hospital to sneak into his room. She lies down next to him and tells him that she has a decision to make, but Ressler tells her that Cooper is wrong, and pretending to be a criminal won’t keep her safe. They kiss, and she continues to lie in his hospital bed with him.
In Cooper’s office, Cooper, Aram, and Park are going through all the names of contenders that Red gave. Aram and Park ask if Red wants a piece of Townsend’s empire, but Cooper explains that Reddington wants Elizabeth to take over his empire. Cooper explains that Red is terminally ill, and if Liz is going to take over for Reddington, she’ll need the team’s help.
At the train station, Liz finishes a phone call and continues to sit, while a young woman continues to look at her. The woman asks Liz if she’s Agent Keen, and the young woman turns out to be Beth Ryker, General Ryker’s daughter (flashback to pilot). Liz tells Beth that she left the Bureau and isn’t sure what she’s going to do now. Beth’s train is called, and as she leaves, she tells Liz that she hopes she continues making the world a safer place. Suddenly, Liz calls Dembe and says she wants to hear Reddington out, and they plan to meet in New York. Once they hang up, Red asks Dembe if it’s wrong what he’s asking Liz to do, and Dembe tells him tha he’s doing what he thinks is right to keep Liz safe. At the train station, Agnes and Mrs. French come down the escalator, and the trio are headed to New York.
At a park in New York, Liz asks him to explain how people will accept her taking over his empire, and he replies that they’ll accept it when they see him lying dead in the street and because she’s a criminal. She asks if she’s a criminal because of him, and he tells her that he’s considered that question, but regardless of what caused her to become a criminal, this is who she’s become. She asks him to explain how the plan would work. He begins by saying the restaurant’s been under renovations and will be opening soon. Pascual’s going to be having a get-together at the restaurant tomorrow night, but once things die down and he says his goodbyes, he will leave. Dembe will stay behind to thank Pascual, and Liz will be parked down the street with a clear view of the entrance. Red wants it to happen on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant, and once police arrive, Liz will be gone and Pascual will have to show the CCTV footage to the police. He assumes that the footage will be leaked, and Liz standing over his body will be on the front page of every newspaper in the world. Liz looks troubled, and Reddington asks what the matter is. She tells him that of all the times she’s wanted to kill him, she doesn’t think that she’ll be able to pull the trigger. He tells her not to worry about that now, and just have them … be.
In a montage, Red and Liz walk holding hands in the park, and they engage in fun activities together with Agnes, Mrs. French, and Dembe. As Reddington and Liz watch Agnes play, Liz asks who her mother was to him. When Red stays quiet for a moment, Liz pulls out the picture of her and her mother, where her mother can’t clearly be seen. She asks if he was the one who took this picture, and he states he was. After a moment, Liz agrees to follow through with the plan, but she wants to know why she can’t know who he is before she kills him. He tells her if she knew beforehand, she’d never agree to kill him.
At a safe house of sorts, Red and Dembe go through the plan again, including how Red’s body will be handled once he’s passed. Dembe asks if he’s sure about this, and Red explains that Liz is a fugitive, and if she’s to survive in this world, she needs to become a part of it.
Will Hart/NBC
At the Post Office, Aram gets a call from Liz. He tells her that he agrees with Ressler about whether Liz should take over for Reddington, and he sternly tells her that he won’t help her. She says that she wouldn’t ask or expect him to, but she hopes that he can forgive her for what she’s done and what she’s going to do. Liz hangs up and Aram tells Cooper and Park that Liz just called to ask for his forgiveness. Cooper understands Liz’s motives behind calling Aram, and asks Park if she’s been able to reach Reddington. She states that she called the restaurant and said they told her there’s a private party tonight.
Back with Red and Dembe, Red reflects on who he became through this journey and what they built. Liz and Reddington are shown getting ready for the night ahead as Red continues to speak to Dembe. Red states that no matter how much he gives of himself or how much he cares, he can’t control the outcome of how this ends. He tells himself that he can keep Elizabeth and Agnes safe, and Dembe tells Reddington that he understands. Red hands him the envelope of answers and instructs Dembe to give it to Liz once he’s gone.
Liz is sitting in her car on the phone with Agnes. She tells Agnes that she’s sad because a friend of hers is sick, and he’s going to die. Meanwhile, Dembe and Red are driving to the restaurant for the party, and Red asks Dembe to stop the car so he can walk. Liz and Agnes exchange “I love you”s, and Liz tells Agnes she will see her in the morning and hangs up.
Will Hart/NBC
At Pascual’s, Red and Dembe have arrived and are taking part in the festivities as Cooper and Ressler talk on the phone. Ressler says he talked to Keen himself, and she turned Reddington down, and she was leaving the country. Cooper tells him that Liz is in D.C., and she called Aram to ask for his forgiveness, and he believes it has something to do with him trying to get Liz to become the heir to his empire. Ressler believes that now Red and Liz will need to convince the world and she’ll need to make a statement. Park and Aram come into Cooper’s office, and Cooper puts Ressler on speaker. Cooper asks if Park has any updates, and she said she wasn’t able to reach Liz, Reddington, or Dembe. Ressler realizes that Keen is going to kill Reddington and it was Red’s idea, as he starts to take off the equipment he’s attached to. Cooper says that the party at the restaurant is where Red will sacrifice himself to save Liz, and the team hurries to the restaurant as Ressler jogs out of the hospital to get to the restaurant. The party has begun.
It’s time for Red to leave. He embraces Dembe as the Task Force and Ressler race to the restaurant. Reddington heads outside to the front of the restaurant, and Keen gets out of her car and follows him. Reddington turns around to see her holding a gun to him, and she hesitates, saying that she can’t do it and she doesn’t want to. He tells her he understands, when suddenly, a gunshot is heard and Liz’s chest turns red. Vandyke has shot Liz, and as he goes to shoot Red, Red shoots and kills him. In a beautifully sad moment, Liz’s life and memories flash before her eyes, as Red goes to Liz. She falls into Reddington’s arms and Dembe comes outside to tell Reddington they need to go. Red and Dembe leave the scene as Ressler runs to Liz’s side as she bleeds out. The Task Force arrives too late and now are bearing witness to this tragedy.
