It’s been a long wait, but fans of Netflix’s The Witcher are finally getting some content to hold them over until the much-anticipated release of season 2. On the last day of Geeked Week, Netflix announced they are partnering with Polish video game developer CD Projekt Red on July 9 to bring global audiences the first-ever WitcherCon. The convention will have it’s first stream on July 9 from 1-2 p.m. EST, and again from 9-10 p.m. EST. The two streams will each have unique content, so fans will definitely want to tune in for both.

The virtual convention will focus on both CD Projekt Red’s Witcher games and Netflix’s live-action adaptation. The convention will have something fun for every fan from exclusive behind-the-scene looks at how the world of The Witcher comes together for gaming and television, expert discussions about the lore of the Continent, to interactive panels featuring members of the creative teams. The website for the convention even mentions that there will be breaking news regarding the Netflix series announced.

The convention will be available to stream on the YouTube and Twitch channels for CD Projekt Red and Netflix. The event will also be available for co-streaming. So far there is no official schedule, but keep an eye on the website for updates about the upcoming event.

With still no official word on when season 2 will be available to stream on Netflix, the convention will be a great way to get fans involved and excited about The Witcher again…but no one would blame you if you wanted to stream season 1 again.
