‘Pokémon Legends: Arceus’ Daybreak Update Now Available
Today marks 26 years since the release Pokémon Red and Green in Japan. In celebration of Pokémon Day, trainers around the world tuned in for the latest Pokémon Presents this morning. In addition news about various game updates and the long-awaited Gen 9 reveal for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, The Pokémon Company also announced a free update for its newest game, Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus introduces players to the ancient Hisui region, which is set long before the area would go on to become known as Sinnoh in Diamond and Pearl. An instant hit among fans new and old, Arceus new gameplay style entirely changed the landscape of the future of Pokémon games as we know it.
The Daybreak update (Ver 1.1.0), content from which will be available after viewing the game’s end credits, will task players with investigating mysterious mass outbreaks of Pokémon that are popping up all over the Hisui region. Players will also now have a chance to battle powerful opponents like Legendary Pokémon and wardens.
These new mass outbreaks, which you’ll look into with Warden Mai of the Diamond Clan and her partner Munchlax, will give players an opportunity to catch Pokémon that are normally difficult to obtain. Per the gameplay trailer, it looks as if this means we’ll be getting Alpha outbreaks!
One of the new battle features includes the Eternal Battle Reverie:
“When you go to sleep in your quarters, you can meet Arceus in your dreams and try your hand at a challenge of strength. Your opponents include lots of incredibly strong Pokémon. At times, you’ll battle in inconceivable situations like facing multiple Legendary Pokémon at once. Hone your Pokémon battle skills and see how long of a win streak you can earn in this new challenge.“
Additionally, new options will be available at the photography studio to include various NPCs from the game.
A new Mystery Gift will be available to players in celebration of Pokémon Day, which includes 30 Ultra Balls, 30 Gigaton Balls, and 30 Jet Balls. This can be obtained by entering the password ARCEUSADVENTURE in the Mystery Gifts menu in your game before 7:59 a.m. (PDT) on Thursday, March 31, 2022.
