The Fantasia International Film Festival Holding Advanced Screening of ‘The Suicide Squad’

This year the Fantasia International Film Festival is celebrating its 25th anniversary! The festival is taking place from August 5 to August 25, and even though the majority of the event is taking place virtually, they still have a few surprises up their sleeves.

If you miss being able to travel and go on vacation, you can watch this squad of interesting “heroes.”  They just happen to be convicts recruited from the Belle Reve prison and dropped off in the jungle on the Corto Maltese island to stop a new enemy.

That’s right. Task Force X and Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) are back with a new team assembled and led by Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman) with a few familiar faces like Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney) and Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie). They will be joined by Peacemaker (John Cena), Bloodsport (Idris Elba), Polka-Dot Man (David Dastmalchian), Sul Soria (Alice Braga), Ratcatcher 2 (Daniela Melcjoir), T.D.K. (Nathan Fillion), Mongal (Mayling Ng), Savant (Michael Rooker), Blackguard (Pete Davidson), Thinker (Peter Capaldi), King Shark (Sylvester Stallone), Weasel (Sean Gunn), and Javelin (Flula Borg).

The Suicide Squad will be an in-person screening event at Montreal, Quebec Canada Imperial Theater, where the Fantasia International Film Festival started. Fans will preview the Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Comics film on August 4, two days earlier than the official release of August 6.
