With the release date just a few months away, DC and Warner Bros. have released the first full trailer for Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam.

The next of DC’s major film releases, Black Adam is set to release on October 21 with Shazam! Fury of the Gods hitting theaters just two months later in December. A choice that is quite fitting given that in the comics, Black Adam is Shazam’s nemesis. A fact that plays nicely with the film’s tagline: “The world needed a hero. It got Black Adam.” A reminder that Black Adam is not a superhero and not everything is as black and white as superhero and supervillain.

With Johnson starring as Black Adam, the film follows the title character as he is freed after 5,000 years and, on a visit to Earth, finds himself facing off with the Justice Society of America (JSA) — the precursor to the Justice League. With JSA members including Atom Smasher (Noah Centineo), Hawkman (Aldis Hodge), Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell), and Doctor Fate (Pierce Brosnan), tensions run high.

Check out the full trailer from the action-filled flick below, and get ready for this not-a-superhero movie to hit theaters this fall.
