Netflix Announces ‘Inside Job’ Part 2 + Releases First Clip

During today’s Geeked Week festivities, Netflix officially announced a part 2 for its adult animated comedy Inside Job, as well as shared the opening scene for the upcoming season. No release date was set, but it’s expected later this year.

The clip opens as viewers watch Reagan mirror Rand’s downward spiral from part 1. Brett comes to pick her up and bring her to her first day back since Rand took over Cognito, Inc., and things are…very different as Rand makes his presence painfully known. Check out the clip below.

Inside Job is set in Cognito, Inc., a shadow government organization responsible for creating and enacting the world’s conspiracies. It primarily follows tech genius Reagan Ridley as she navigates personal stressors such as her relationship with her father, office culture, and guides her team through various cover-ups and more. Despite evidence to the contrary, Reagan believes the world can be a better place and sets out to prove just that.

As part 1 came to a close, Reagan and co. learned that Bear-O was the mole, and Reagan and Rand traverse Reagan’s memories to find the access code to shut down Bear-O (with Brett following shortly after, unbeknownst to them). Once they succeed, Reagan is ready to step up and lead all of Cognito, Inc. However, when she gets to her office, she finds out that the Shadow Board has appointed Rand as head of Cognito instead.

Inside Job features the voices of Lizzy Caplan, Christian Slater, Clark Duke, Brett Gelman, Tisha Campbell, John DiMaggio, Bobby Lee, Andy Daly, and Chris Diamantopoulos. It was created by Shion Takeuchi and Alex Hirsch.

Inside Job releases later this year. Check out our coverage on the show, including our interviews with the cast and creator Shion Takeuchi, here. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
