The time to clean and tune up the bikes has come. According to Santa Clarita Valley News, filming for the third season of Mayans M.C. will start this week.

Mayans M.C. takes place around four years after the Sons of Anarchy finale and is set in the fictional town of Santo Padre on the California/Mexico border. It is a crime drama series on FX created by Kurt Sutter and Elgin James. Season three will see James taking the reins for the series after Sutter was let go from FX.

The series follows the Mayans motorcycle club that was introduced in Sons of Anarchy. The story follows E.Z. (JD Pardo) as he familiarizes himself with the club and life in general after being released from jail. He was able to prospect the club through his brother and first sponsor, Angel (Clayton Cardenas). Meanwhile, their father, Felipe (Edward James Olmos), or Ignacio, has a past that his sons don’t even know about. Drama and action are coming from all sides, the Galindo cartel run by Miguel Galindo (Danny Pino), who has his wife, also E.Z.’s ex, by his side Emily (Sarah Bolger). Galindo’s right-hand men Nestor (Gino Vento) and former Mayans el Padrino Marcus Alvarez (Emilio Rivera), and his troublesome mother, Dita (Ada Maris). From Law enforcement and a face, fans have seen in Charming, Lincoln Potter (Ray McKinnon), Adelita (Carla Baratta), and the rebels. So, yes, the club Presidente Bishop (Michael Irby), Vice President Taza (Raoul Max Trujillo), El Pacificador Tranq (Frankie Loyal), Captain Del Camino Creeper (Joseph Lucero), and members Gilly (Vincent Rocco Vargas), Coco (Richard Cabral), and we cannot forget the guy that won our hearts in Sons of Anarchy, Chucky (Michael Ornstein).

I cannot wait to see what happens next season. Stay tuned for more information about the Mayans M.C. season 3 as it becomes available. Also, as a reminder to fans, you can purchase season 2 on DVD on November 3!
