It was just announced by Deadline that Kacen Callender‘s newest YA novel, Felix Ever After, is being adapted into an Amazon TV show. Amazon Studios is developing it as a first-look deal with Field Trip Productions, formed by executive producer Will Graham and former UTA agent Hailey Wierengo, with Stephanie Dietz, who will oversee the project.

The novel follows Felix Love, a high-school summer camp student in NYC, who just wants to fall in love. This somehow leads to an Instagram catfish situation and a quasi-love-triangle, but most importantly, self-discovery, queer-pride, and self-love. This Indie Bestseller and one of the first YA novels to feature a queer, Black, transgender protagonist will be an amazing story to have portrayed on the screen!
