As an actor and co-founder of the new civic engagement site, A Starting Point, Chris Evans will be on Real Time with Bill Maher Friday, August 7.
A Starting Point, which launched in July, is setting out to be a bipartisan, objective resource to educate voters on important societal matters with statements from the politicians themselves. The site includes short and concise responses from the elected officials on the issues we face today, controlled debates between two politicians from opposing sides of the aisle on a specific matter, and quick daily points that are sent in directly from the source on any topics they’d like to discuss. You can also research your representatives and register to vote — two extremely important but sometimes overlooked civic duties.
Chris Evans is heading to Real Time with Bill Maher on Friday to discuss the site and answer all your burning questions. Real Time with Bill Maher is on HBO at 10 p.m. ET.
Other guests will be Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson (former Chief of Staff to Colin Powell) in an interview, plus Meghan Daum (host of The Unspeakable podcast) and Paul Begala (author of YOU’RE FIRED! The Perfect Guide to Beating Donald Trump) on the panel.
