Apple TV+ has acquired a brand new movie project, Project Artemis, to be directed by Ozark star Jason Bateman starring Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson.

While the plot of the film is under tight lock-and-key, it will center around the space race. The screenplay comes from Rose Gilroy, daughter of writer-director Dan Gilroy and actress René Russo. Johansson and Bateman will produce through their respective banners, These Pictures with Jonathan Lia and Keenan Flynn for Johansson and Aggregate Films for Bateman.

Both Evans and Johansson have other projects with Apple currently in the works. Ghosted, starring Chris Evans and Ana de Armas, was supposed to see Johansson and Evans team up once again until scheduling conflicts caused Johansson to drop out and be replaced with de Armas. That project is currently filming. Johansson and Apple will soon begin working on Bride directed by Oscar-winning Sebastián Lelio and starring Johansson, who will also produce. It is currently in development.

Stay tuned for more news on Project Artemis! This was first reported by Deadline.
