Discovery Channel has a new dodgeball competition series and it will be hosted by YouTuber David Dobrik. The series is titled Dodgeball Thunderdome, and according to The Hollywood Reporter’s exclusive report it “will take place on an isolated, 13.8-acre, specially constructed site, where winners are not determined simply by their strength and the losers aren’t always picked last.” Contestants will compete in challenges where they have to use not only their strength but strategy, quick thinking and a drive to win. Professional athletes and those with no sports experience will be among the competitors.

The finale episode will feature a tournament of champions that will bring back the winners from the previous eight episodes who will compete for a $25,000 cash prize. After each episode, a code will be shown on screen allowing Discovery audience to enter for the chance to win $5,000.

Former NFL wide receiver Andrew “Hawk” Hawkins and E! News correspondent Erin Lim will co-host the series. Dodgeball Thunderdome premieres on August 19 at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT on Discovery Channel.
