After teasing fans with a secret project, Jake Abel finally announced via Instagram that he will narrate the upcoming audiobook of Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer! The highly anticipated Midnight Sun is a retelling of the massively successful Twilight novel from Edward’s point of view rather than Bella’s, as the publisher says in their synopsis:

This unforgettable tale as told through Edward’s eyes takes on a new and decidedly dark twist. Meeting Bella is both the most unnerving and intriguing event he has experienced in all his years as a vampire. As we learn more fascinating details about Edward’s past and the complexity of his inner thoughts, we understand why this is the defining struggle of his life. How can he justify following his heart if it means leading Bella into danger?
Abel has worked with Meyer before, playing Ian in the film adaptation of Meyer’s bestselling novel The Host. In a statement released by Hachette Audio, Abel says “I can’t help but feel incredibly humbled and honored that Stephenie would trust me to lend my voice to her work. I hope that she, and the many eager Twilight fans around the world, will have as much fun listening to it as I’m having narrating it.”
Midnight Sun will be available in audiobook and print form on August 4, 2020!
