Big Finish has released details on a new audio drama featuring the Sixth Doctor to be released in April. The Doctor and his companions, Mrs. Constance Clarke and Phillipa ‘Flip’ Jackson, accidentally crash into a diplomatic meeting of two alien races, The Vultriss, lead by their new queen, Skye, and the terrifying Ice Warriors of Mars. Queen Skye is awaiting the arrival of the Ice Warrior ambassadors when the Doctor unexpectedly enters and finds himself and his friends caught up in the dangerous meeting. Check out the full description from Big Finish below:

Violently ejected from the Space-Time Vortex, the TARDIS crash lands on the remote planet of Cygia-Rema, a mountainous world ruled by the bird-like Vultriss. Their newly crowned Queen Skye is expecting first contact with alien ambassadors – Ice Warriors – and the sudden arrival of the Doctor, Flip and Mrs Constance Clarke causes confusion.

However, Skye is no ordinary ruler, she is the Fabled One gifted with the deadly power of ‘The Cry’. The queen who will enable the Vultriss to fly once again – at any cost. But as the Doctor investigates why the TARDIS crashed, he discovers that the Vultriss are hiding a deadly secret. An ancient legacy that, if left unchecked, will plunge half the galaxy into an eternal living end.

Colin Ford reprises his role as the Sixth Doctor, while Miranda Raison and Lisa Greenwood play Mrs. Clarke and Flip, respectively. Adele Lynch voices the leader of the Ice Warriors, having also played their queen in the 2017 Doctor Who episode “Empress of Mars.” Doctor Who: Cry of the Vultriss is available for preorder now, on both CD and digital download. It will be released in April as the first of three consecutive Sixth Doctor stories released every month in the Doctor Who – The Monthly Adventures audio series. In the meantime, Big Finish offers a wide range of Doctor Who audio dramas you can enjoy now featuring your favorite Doctor incarnations. Check them out here!
