According to The Hollywood Reporter, Grant Gustin is set to star in Netflix’s newest real-life drama Rescued by Ruby. Gustin will play Dan, a state trooper that has dreams of joining the K-9 search and rescue team, but nobody is willing to take the chance on him. Gustin is set to film in between filming seasons 7 and 8 of The CW’s The Flash. The synopsis for Rescued by Ruby was also released.

Katt Shea will direct with Karen Janszen set to pen the script based on two short stories, Ruby: A Dogwink Story and Dogwink Ruby. Dan Angel will produce from Fezziwig Studios with Brian Gott and Jane Charles. SQuire Rushnell and Louise DuArt will executive produce.
