The Flash, one of The CW’s founding DC superhero shows, has been renewed for a ninth season. This renewal marks the show’s overtaking of Arrow as the longest-running Arrowverse/CWverse show on the network.

With many CWverse shows having come and gone, fans can’t help but wonder if season 9 will be the show’s last. According to the network, there’s currently no indication that this season will be the final one, though Grant Gustin’s contract renewal paving the way for the upcoming season was a one-year deal.
