To celebrate the release of the DVD of Normal People, British Vogue has released an exclusive video of the first screen test between leads Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal! Their chemistry was evident from the start as they read a scene from the second episode of the series. Mescal shares that at this audition, he had already been cast and they were still searching for Marianne. When the two started reading together, he told Vogue, “I knew instantly she [Edgar-Jones] was going to be playing Marianne. It just felt inevitable that we would be playing these characters together.”
The DVD of Normal People is available for pre-order now in the U.K. and will be released November 2. In the US, the entire series is available now on Hulu. Check out the audition tape below!
