Beginning this month, Saw fans can bring home the latest installment in the horror franchise, as Lionsgate has set PVOD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD release dates for Saw X. Per usual, the PVOD release comes first, with the movie hitting Premium Video on Demand and Premium Electronic Sell-Through on October 20. The physical release follows about a month later on November 21.
The 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD formats come with a variety of bonus features for viewers to sink their teeth into. All three will include:
- Audio commentary by Kevin Greutert (director, editor), Nick Matthews (cinematographer), and Anthony Stabley (production designer)
- Drawing Inspiration: Illustrated scene breakdowns with Kevin Greutert
- Make-up Department Trap Tests
- Deleted Scenes
- Theatrical Trailer
The 4K UHD and Blu-ray formats will include an extra multi-part Making-of Documentary entitled Reawakening that will hit on some of the main aspects throughout pre-production, production, and post-production:
- I Want to Play a Game: Bleeding New Life into the Saga
- This Time It’s Personal: Characters and Casting
- Another Time, Another Place: Locations and Cinematography
- There Will Be Blood: Production Design and Make-Up
- Leave Nothing to Chance: Post-Production

Set between the first two Saw movies, Saw X follows John Kramer (Tobin Bell) as he desperately seeks a cure for his terminal cancer. With little to no options left, Kramer embarks on a trip to Mexico where he hopes an experimental procedure can offer the cure he’s long been waiting for. However, following his procedure, Kramer realizes the entire operation is a scam that preys on the most vulnerable. So, as Kramer tends to do, he goes back into Jigsaw mode, exacting his twisted vengeance on those responsible for the entire operation. He even enlists the help of his apprentice Amanda Young (Shawnee Smith).
Saw X was directed by Kevin Greutert from a screenplay by Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg. Oren Koules and Mark Burg produced. Additional cast includes Synnøve Macody Lund, Steven Brand, Renata Vaca, and Michael Beach.
