As the premiere draws ever closer, the studios dropped two exicting pieces of news. First, Saw X will now release on September 29, nearly a month earlier than its original October 27 date. Second, Lionsgate shared the first look at Tobin Bell back in action as John Kramer (below).

Set between the first two Saw movies, Saw X chronicles an untold chapter of Jigsaw’s life. John Kramer has been battling terminal cancer, and he’s more desperate than ever to find a miracle cure. So, he travels to Mexico to partake in a risky experimental procedure hoping it could be the one thing to save him. However, he soon learns that it is a scam that preys on the most vulnerable people. In true John Kramer fashion, he taps back into his Jigsaw side, enacting his twisted form of justice on the perpetrators.

Saw X was directed by Kevin Greutert from a screenplay by Josh Stolberg and Peter Goldfinger. Mark Burg and Oren Koules serve as producers. It also stars Shawnee Smith, Renata Vaca, Paulette Hernandez, Joshua Okamoto, Octavio Hinojosa, Steven Brand, Michael Beach, and Synnøve Macody Lund.
