Chris Pine’s Directorial Debut ‘Poolman’ To Premiere at TIFF

Chris Pine’s directorial debut Poolman is set to make a splash at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival.

Pine stars in the film alongside Danny DeVito, Ariana DeBose (West Side Story, Kraven The Hunter), and Jennifer Jason Leigh (Single White Female, Hunters). The plot of the film follows a pool cleaner who becomes an amateur sleuth after he discovers an elaborate plot to rob Los Angeles of its water.

The 48th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival takes place Thursday, September 7-17. Tickets for the festival go on sale August 28 to the general public. Ticket pre-sale for Visa Infinite cardholders and Sustainer go on sale August 21, Contributors on August 22, TIFF Members on August 24 and TIFF Insiders and Under-25 Free Passholders August 25.
