In Disney and Pixar’s upcoming animated adventure Elio, Earth has been calling out to the cosmos for hundreds of years, looking for answers. In this intergalactic misadventure directed by Adrian Molina, we see what happens when the universe calls back.
The first trailer for this new out-of-this-world experience can be viewed below.
In this first look, we see Elio’s mother Olga voiced by America Ferrera, receive a message from the universe. During the shock of this first contact, her son Elio calls also. Flustered by what is happening, she quickly tells her son she can’t talk right now. While telling his mother goodbye, Elio’s voice is received by the alien counsel. Transported into space to face trial as the leader of Earth, Elio has to make some quick decisions. Throughout this unexpected journey, Elio will form some unlikely friendships, survive trials, and discover who he truly is.
Voicing the main character Elio is Yonas Kibreab, with the talented voice cast featuring Jameela Jamil as Ambassador Questa and Brad Garrett as Ambassador Grigon.
