Konami officially announced the Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake during the PlayStation showcase with a brief announcement trailer!

With a slight name change to Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, the PS2 game is getting an upgrade. A rerelease of the original trilogy — Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and the third — will arrive this fall to PS5 as the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection: Volume 1.

Snake Eater serves as a prequel for the Metal Gear Solid games, and it’s widely considered one of the best stealth games ever made. Unlike the others in the series, Snake Eater is more focused on stealth and camouflage than weaponry and force as Snake infiltrates a Soviet base. As he makes his way through the wilderness, Snake is forced into survival mode, needing to replenish with animals caught in the dense forests.

While the trailer only revealed a release on PlayStation5, Snake Eater will also be available on Xbox Series X/S and Steam.
