As if Resident Evil 4’s remake wasn’t scary enough, soon you’ll be able to experience it in first person.

During the PlayStation showcase, Capcom confirmed the VR Mode for the game in redevelopment, previewing what the iconic village fight will look like on the VR2.

This new VR isn’t to be confused with Resident Evil 4 VR, which is available on Oculus. This will be a new version made for the PlayStation VR2. No date for the release was revealed. The VR Mode will be available as free downloadable content for players as confirmed by the company before the game’s release earlier this year.

Resident Evil 4‘s remake is a reimagining of the 2005 Gamecube version, updated for PS4 and PS5. It follows Leon S. Kennedy as he searches for Ashley Graham who has been taken by a cult, Los Iluminados. He’s forced to battle against those infected with the parasite known as Las Plagas, most commonly referred to as Los Ganados, priests of Los Iluminados, monsters, and even some familiar faces. Through dilapidated villages, blackened lakes, sky-reaching castles, and monster-infested labs, Leon must get Ashley to safety.

The Resident Evil 4 remake was released on March 24, 2023.
