The first of two paid DLCs for Final Fantasy XVI, “Echoes of the Fallen,” is now available.

A trailer is available to watch on YouTube, giving players a glimpse into both the newly released “Echoes of the Fallen” and “The Rising Tide,” which will be available in Spring 2024 and see Clive confront the legendary Eikon, Leviathan.

ā€œEchoes of the Fallenā€ unlocks new story, battles, weapons, accessories, level cap and more. The adventure begins before the base gameā€™s final battle, as strange, dark crystals begin to circulate on the black market. Players will follow Clive and company during their investigations as they encounter a group of suspicious traders, leading them to a long-abandoned Fallen tower known as the Sagespire and the terrible secrets that await within.

Players can purchase just “Echoes of the Fallen” or an Expansion Pass for both DLCs at a discounted price. Special bonus items for purchasing either option include Cloud Strife’s Buster Sword from Final Fantasy VII and the ā€œAway (1987)ā€ Orchestrion Roll which allows a chip-tune version of the song to be played as background music in the hideaway.

Final Fantasy XVI is also available now through December 11 for 40% off in celebration of the game’s wins and nominations at the Game Awards only on the PlayStation store.
