Netflix has set a premiere date for The Crown season 5. The third and final era of the show is set to kick off on November 9. A poster, which you can find above, was released alongside the premiere date.

The third era of Queen Elizabeth II’s life is set to be headed by Imelda Staunton in the leading role along with Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana, Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, and Dominic West as Prince Charles. The show’s third and supposedly final era will be comprised of seasons 5 and 6, with season 6 having been (re)renewed back in 2020. The showrunners were adamant about the show not reaching into modern times, with season 6 being set around the early 2000s. Whether or not this tune will change in light of the Queen’s recent passing remains to be seen.

We can’t wait to see what the upcoming season of The Crown has in store when it airs in November 2022. As always, stay tuned for more updates, and make sure to check out all of our other content on the show here.
