When building a franchise, the cast is a key component, and today the cast for Chapter 2 was announced. Jeremy Piven, Casper Van Dien, Tricia Helfer, Liam McIntyre, and Danny Trejo will be joining an already amazing cast. Some of the names returning to the franchise for Chapter 2 will be Jet Tranter, Dan Ewing, Zac Garred, Charles Mesure, Dena Kaplan, and the voice talents of Jason Isaacs.

Writer and director Luke Sparke will be continuing the Rainfall trilogy with the theme of survival or extinction. Alongside their few alien allies, the remaining humans on Earth will face a new threat. This ominous force will threaten the already fragile resistance. Left without a strong leader, the group struggles to come to terms they can all agree on. Meanwhile, on the Mothership, a gang of survivors form a plan. They will strike the true heart of the alien threat, the Rainfall weapon. Will the human heroes survive as the fate of all life on Earth hangs in the balance?

“We are thrilled to be continuing the Rainfall saga and introducing the fans to some more memorable and unique characters and landscapes in this next chapter. This film is going to show the world that Sparke Films has taken this whole story to a new level of mind-blowing and epic sci-fi action, and that is just the beginning,” said producers Carly Sparke and Carmel Imrie.

You can watch Occupation: Rainfall currently on Netflix. More casting updates are planned to be announced the closer we get to production on Chapter 2. Make sure to follow Nerds & Beyond to stay up to date!
