With just under three months until its release, a new teaser for Disney/Pixar’s Lightyear debuted at the 2022 Oscars introduced by none other than Buzz himself, Chris Evans.

The film will follow the origins of the beloved Buzz Lightyear toy from the 1995 classic, Toy Story. It’s been described as the film Andy would have seen to make him want that Buzz action figure in the first place. Whether Buzz is a fictional character or a real-life astronaut still remains to be seen.

Evans will be voicing the titular character and joined by Uzo Aduba, Taika Waititi, James Brolin, Mary McDonald-Lewis, Efren Ramirez, Keke Palmer, Dale Soules, Isiah Whitlock Jr., and Peter Sohn as Buzz’s robotic cat companion, Sox. Michael Giacchino, the composer of recent box office sensations The Batman and Spider-Man: No Way Home, will score the film.

Lightyear premieres exclusively in theaters June 17, 2022.
