Roy Kent, Meet Oscar the Grouch: Brett Goldstein Visits ‘Sesame Street’
Be the brunette Oscar the Grouch you want to see in the world. Or something like that.
Today, Ted Lasso‘s Brett Goldstein announced that he finally had a chance to live out his ultimate Muppet dreams by paying a visit to Sesame Street. Given his self-proclaimed love of the Muppets, we can think of nobody more deserving of the honor. He’s here, he’s there, he’s literally everywhere.
Goldstein shared a collection of photos from the set of Sesame Street, including one that mirrors his own Roy Kent-as-Oscar the Grouch scene in the first season of Ted Lasso. And speaking of Muppet references on the show, we also certainly can’t forget: “Jamie Tartt is a Muppet. And I hope he dies of the incurable condition of being a little b***h.”
Although we’ll have to wait until later this year to see the episode that Goldstein guest stars in, Sesame Street shared a video clip to tease the news as well.
For those who have yet to experience it, Goldstein previously performed a fantastic, live, six-minute solo rendition of The Muppet Christmas Carol on stage in 2017 — manifest your dreams, kids.
Ted Lasso season 3 is in the works, though a release date has not yet been set. In the meantime, be sure to tune in to Goldstein’s podcast Films to be Buried With, in which weekly guests join him for a hilarious and thoughtful chat about movies (and death).
