Trailer and Premiere Date Revealed for ‘The Wheel of Time’

The fantasy world of The Wheel of Time awaits in this first trailer released for the Amazon series. From the beginning line of “Be strong,” this teaser pulls viewers in immediately into this emotional and visually stunning story.

The world of The Wheel of Time is full of magic, but in a surprising twist this magic can only be wielded by women. This revelation will be no surprise to readers of Robert Jordan’s books which the show is an adaptation of. One thing that is made very clear in the trailer is that these women use their magic to protect the world. The question of protection from what will be left unanswered until November 19 when the series premieres on Amazon streaming service.

As far as settings go, The Wheel of Time offers breathtaking landscapes as the trailer jumps from scenes of battle to scenes of pure emotion. The series was mainly shot in the Czech Republic and uses the location beautifully. In addition to the setting, viewers may find it hard to take their eyes off of Rosamund Pike, in the role of Moiraine as she stuns with powerful demonstrations of her magic. Pike is surrounded by a diverse and talented cast that consists of Josha Stradowski, Madeleine Madden, Zoe Robbins, Marcus Rutherford, Barney Harris, Daniel Henney, and Sophie Okonedo, to name a few.

Serving as executive producers on the series is Larry Mondragon, Rick Selvage, Ted Field, Mike Weber, Darren Lemke, Marigo Kehoe, and Uta Briesewitz. Rosamund Pike is also a producer on the show with Harriet McDougal and Brandon Sanderson as consulting producers. The Wheel of Time will be on Amazon streaming service on November 19.
