Yoon Ha Lee’s ‘Dragon Pearl’ Sequel ‘Tiger Honor’ Gets Release Date

Rick Riordan Presents has at long last announced the release date for the highly anticipated follow up to Yoon Ha Lee’s Dragon Pearl and we couldn’t be more excited! Readers will finally be able to return to Lee’s Thousand Worlds in January 2022 with the sequel Tiger Honor.

Lee uniquely combines Korean mythology and history with stellar intergalactic adventures to create a one of a kind reading experience to intrigue every young reader. Tiger Honor‘s cover has also been released today and features Sebin, a young non-binary tiger spirit from the Juhwang Clan.

The synopsis for Tiger Honor reads:

“Sebin desires nothing more than to follow in the footsteps of their legendary Uncle Hwan and join the Thousand World Space Forces and one day captain their own battle cruiser. As luck would have it, though, on the same day Sebin finally receives their acceptance letter, Hwan is declared a traitor to the Space Forces. Turns out the tiger captain has been accused of stealing a magical ancient artifact known as . . . wait for it . . .  the Dragon Pearl.

Now it’s up to Sebin to clear their uncle’s name and restore honor to the Juhwang Clan. That is, if they can survive the aftermath of a deadly explosion onboard the ship Haetae and, along with three other cadets, uncover the true villain hiding among them.”
