Ruth Connell Is 2021 Roswell Award Celebrity Guest Reader for Omega Sci-Fi Awards

The Queen of Hell’s reign continues! The Omega Sci-Fi Awards have announced that Supernatural‘s Ruth Connell will be a celebrity reader for The Roswell Award & Women Hold Up Half the Sky event, which showcases new works by emerging, up-and-coming science fiction writers. Connell will be joined by Futurama‘s Phil LaMarr, Designated Survivor‘s LaMonica Garrett, Stargate: Universe‘s David Blue, and many more.

Since Sci-Fest L.A.’s founding of The Omega Sci-Fi Awards, thousands of writers worldwide have been inspired to explore the art of science fiction short story writing. Light Bringer Project has co-presented The Tomorrow Prize and The Roswell Award prizes since 2017. Under the Omega Sci-Fi Awards, these competitions encourage exploring complex themes that illuminate the greatest issues humanity wrestles with, spark imaginative solutions, and unite the worlds of science and art.
