‘Friends’: The One Where They Remind Us Goodbye Is Simply Another Hello in ‘Friends: The Reunion’

There’s a wanted poster pinned to the busy rhythmic streets of New York’s lamp posts telling of an orange couch regularly accompanied by a group of friends in a coffee shop that has been shut down since 2004. While it’s popped up on the sandy beaches of Sydney to themed birthday parties filled with the same garage band soundtrack of The Rembrandts’ “I’ll Be There for You,” it’s not until outside by a lit fountain do those friends spill over its armchair reminiscing the past.

Sparking conversations about memorable lines turned into imitations over muted dialogue when watching for the 100th time, when they knew this was a unique experience, and what exactly has changed in that time gap; Friends: The Reunion hosted by James Corden will be a television special not to be missed.

With Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer alongside an assortment of celebrities prancing down a runway to show off stealer outfits from the Friends lookbook, fans can tune in over a two-night extravaganza. Starting with a click-worthy virtual event stocked with exclusive programming on Wednesday, May 26, beginning at 7.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. PST, it will continue with the cast reunion itself on Thursday, May 27 on HBO Max.

Sit back with a cup of steaming coffee drinkable enough one knows Rachel Green’s hands have not touched it to watch the nostalgic trailer below.
